Aldactone-Spironolactone like any other medication may cause certain mild to severe kind of side effects such as: vomiting, diarrhoea, cramps or pain in stomach, dry mouth, excessive thirst, lightheadedness, instability, headache, enlarged or painful breasts in men or women, erratic menstrual periods, vaginal bleeding in post-menopausal means the end of monthly menstrual periods in elderly women, difficulty maintaining or achieving the penile erection, deepening of voice, increased hair growth on different parts of the body, lethargy, fatigue and impatience.

Besides above symptoms some of the patients may also experience the following side effects for which they should immediately consult their physicians for necessary medical assistance: weakness in the muscles, pain or cramps, numbness or pain or burning sensation or tingling in the hands or feet, lack of ability in arms or legs movements, abnormal changes in the heart beats, commotion, nausea, extreme exhaustion, unusual bleeding or bruising, energy deficit, reduced or lost appetite and pain in the upper right side of the stomach.

Furthermore, the side effects like yellowing of eyes and / or skin, signs of infection such as fever or sore throat or coughing or chills, symptoms like influenza, cold and gray skin condition, rashes, hives, itching sensation, difficulty in breathing or swallowing, blood vomiting, stools accompanied by blood, diminished urination, disturbed or blurred vision condition and fainting may also be reported by the patient in certain cases.

Signs or symptoms other than listed above may also be experienced in some remote cases for which the patient should immediately be taken to the doctor for necessary medical treatments and avoidance of further deterioration in his or her condition.
